Peanut Butter Fudge

My husband's Peanut Butter Fudge
3 c sugar
3/4 c unsalted butter
2/3 c evaporated milk
12 oz bag peanut butter morsels
7 oz jar marshmallow creme
1 t vanilla extract
1 c chopped walnuts or pecans optional

1. In a 2-qt saucepan, bring sugar, butter, and milk to a rolling boil (240 degrees) for 5 minutes, stirring constatnly; remove from heat.
2. Stir in morsels, creme, vanilla, then nuts.
3. Pour into a greased 13x9x2 pan.
4. Cool to room temperature before slicing.
